Scott.Weber Workspace Completes Fit-Out of Historic Náměstí Republiky 7 Building in Prague
Scott.Weber Workspace has unveiled its most ambitious project to date: the transformation of the historic Náměstí Republiky 7 (NR7) building in the heart of Prague. This eight-story neoclassical gem, originally built in 1905, has been carefully restored and reimagined as a modern, flexible office space, with the official opening set for Q2 2025.
Developed in partnership with CRESTYL Group, Chapman Taylor, and other collaborators, the €39.8 million project offers 4,630 square meters of premium workspace, including:
- 90 private offices
- 17 meeting rooms
- An indoor atrium
- Roof terraces and a conservatory
- Four event halls, the largest accommodating up to 130 people
A Historic Restoration with a Modern Twist
The NR7 building has a storied past, having housed insurance companies, banks, political organizations, and even the iconic Laurin & Klement car manufacturer over its 100-year history. The renovation honors this legacy by preserving unique historical elements, such as intricate wrought iron railings and mirrored walls, while seamlessly integrating them into a contemporary workspace.
“Our goal was to return the building to its original appearance and give it new life,” said Simon Johnson, CEO of CRESTYL. Adam Zvada, CEO of Scott.Weber Workspace, emphasized the company’s vision: “7 Republic Square represents our vision for the future of workspaces that are not only functional but also inspiring.”
Thoughtful Design for Productivity and Community
The architectural concept, led by Chapman Taylor, focused on blending history with modernity. Filip Pokorný, Director at Chapman Taylor, commented: “The project is an example of the sensitive integration of modern design into a historic setting. Our goal was to create a space that fosters inspiration, productivity, and community.”
The design incorporates natural light, flexible layouts, and spaces that encourage collaboration, making NR7 a hub for innovation in the heart of Prague.
