Trinity Leeds wins Development of the Year!
Trinity Leeds and developer Land Securities scooped the big prizes at the Yorkshire Property Industry Awards last night, with Trinity picking up the coveted Development of the Year award, and Land Securities being named Developer of the Year.
The judges agreed that there could only be one winner following the huge impact that the Chapman Taylor designed scheme Trinity Leeds has had on the city and praised both its design and visitor appeal.
The awards dinner took place at the New Dock Hall, Royal Armouries in Leeds, where more than 370 professionals and investors gathered to celebrate a year of resurgence in the regions property industry. Richard Abbott, editor of Yorkshire Business Insider, said the time for "cautious optimism" was over. "We need to tell people how incredibly excited we are to be living and working in such a dynamic and evolving place," he said. "We have some fabulous schemes that are positively blooming. Look at the Advanced Manufacturing Park in Rotherham, the state-of-the-art York council offices and Broad Street Plaza in Halifax. And there's more to come. In Leeds alone, developers are responding to the declining grade A office stock with new buildings at Sovereign Street and Wellington Place. In Humberside, the Bridgehead Business Park will create hundreds of jobs."
The awards were attended by UK Director, Robin Pinfield.
