UK Director and Associate Director promotions
Chapman Taylor, an award-winning practice of global architects and masterplanners, is delighted to announce a number of promotions within the company.
Marcelina Zielinska - Director
Marcelina joined Chapman Taylor in 2007, having studied architecture at the University of Krakow, Poland, and qualifying in 2010. She initially worked on the delivery of St. David’s, Cardiff, before joining the UK feasibility team in London where she has worked on many projects at the early design stage. Marcelina’s most recent design work includes achieving planning approval for the St. Mark’s Lincoln mixed-use development, where we acted as masterplan architect and lead consultant. She has worked collaboratively with the Manchester studio on the design for the Axiom regional retail and leisure development and been a part of our competition team for The District in Abu Dhabi. Marcelina is not only committed to helping Chapman Taylor maintain pre-eminence in the design of mixed-use projects, but is also actively involved in nurturing business development opportunities.
Jonathan Fishlock – Director
Jonathan has worked with Chapman Taylor since 1999 when he joined our London studio as a Part III student. In 2002 he relocated to our Manchester studio to work on the initial stages of Manchester Arndale, and has since played a key role in helping to establish Chapman Taylor’s studio in the North West. Jonathan became an Associate Director in 2006 and successfully led the refurbishment and remodelling of the western elements of the Trinity Leeds project, working closely with Laing O’Rourke on this award winning scheme for Land Securities, which opened in 2013. He led the Baku City Mall and Port Baku Towers projects in Azerbaijan whilst also overseeing the refurbishment of The Victoria Centre, Nottingham and continued to develop our strong working relationship with Laing O’Rourke to deliver the city centre regeneration project for intu. Jonathan has been a part of the Manchester Management team since 2006 and is currently leading the detailed design of the Axiom regional retail and leisure scheme and also coordinating the major planning submission for Edmonstone Park, an Edinburgh PRS project working collaboratively with the concept design and residential teams in our London studio. Jonathan’s promotion will provide key support to Andy Carroll to facilitate the further development of the Manchester studio’s design capabilities and to continue to improve the Practice’s design and technical delivery capabilities.
Lucy Flintoff – Associate Director
Lucy studied architecture at Manchester University and joined Chapman Taylor’s London Studio after graduating in 2010 and became a qualified Architect in 2013. Lucy first worked with the international feasibility team focusing on projects in Libya. She went on to work on intu Potteries Leisure Extension in Stoke and the Connector Building at Brussels airport, before joining the client monitoring team for Leeds Trinity. Most recently, as Project Architect, Lucy has successfully led the team delivering the ‘Lexicon’ in Bracknell, working with Mace. This fast paced and challenging town centre redevelopment is set to open in September this year and will revitalise the town and the surrounding areas. As a member of the Executive Group for the past three years, Lucy has played an active role in assisting with managing a number of aspects of the London studio, organising numerous social events as well as the very successful and on-going series of lunchtime CPD sessions. She is currently helping to define the newly restructured Technical Group and will be guiding the focus of the Sustainability Group moving forward. Lucy's enthusiasm and experience across all work stages will greatly strengthen the design and technical delivery capability within the London Studio.
Congratulations for Marcelina, Jonathan and Lucy.
